This festive season, we’re celebrating the heart of the Homeless World Cup: the 500 players whose courage, resilience and joy inspire us every single day.
From today until the 24th December, we’re sharing The 12 Stories of Oslo 2025, a journey through uplifting, powerful stories from the 20th edition of the Homeless World Cup which was held in Norway’s capital city this August.
These stories shine a light on what football and the Homeless World Cup Foundation makes possible:
confidence, belonging, opportunity and transformation for people experiencing homelessness around the world.
Across the next twelve days, you’ll meet players whose lives have been changed forever through football:
A Norwegian player who rediscovered her identity
Two inspiring players from Greece and Afghanistan finding belonging far from home
A Lithuanian player rebuilding life through recovery
Two Swedish teammates whose shared journey brought deep healing
Volunteers and physios who support the players behind every story from our tournament.

To watch the Homeless World Cup (in person or online) is completely free. The joy, the passion and the community… all freely shared with the world.
But the work behind our tournament is enormous. Player programmes year-round. Volunteer support. Global outreach. Member Country support. Tournament delivery.
