The 2025 Homeless World Cup will be hosted alongside The Salvation Army, our Member Country partner in Norway. It will be the second time the Norwegian capital has hosted the tournament and as in 2017 the football will be played at the iconic Rådhusplassen (City Hall Square)

CITIES ENDING HOMELESSNESS FORUM

The Cities Ending Homelessness Forum is part of the Oslo 2025 Homeless World Cup where we explore solutions to homelessness through seminars, panel discussions and debates. You’ll hear the voices of those with lived experience, social innovators, academics and policy makers. We want you to join the conversation.

The sessions will explore a broad range of topics which have been curated by the local host, the Salvation Army Norway. These include hope, Housing First, women’s homelessness and gender-based violence, drug and alcohol addiction, loneliness, sport for social impact, building trusted relationships in social work and more.

Dates: Saturday 23rd - Friday 29th August
Venues: Nobel Peace Centre, Rådhusplassen and Salvation Army, Oslo (see full schedule for specific session venues).

OSLO 2025 partners

  • Since 2015, the Homeless World Cup has proudly partnered with world leading synthetic turf manufacturer Act Global who supply our annual tournaments with their Extreme Turf.

    Act Global is the FIFA Preferred Producer for Football Turf, FIH Preferred Supplier and World Rugby Preferred Producer.

    Act Global will provide the turf for the Seoul 2024 Homeless World Cup.

  • The Salvation Army provides strength for today – and hope for tomorrow.

    They work in over 130 countries and has a total of 300 units around Norway.

    They contribute to social engagement, belonging and faith.

    A central part of the work is services and offerings for people who live in poverty, loneliness or drug addiction, those who are in prison, are exposed to neglect or are victims of human trafficking, and those who are mentally ill, their relatives, unemployed or migrant workers.

    The Salvation Army have been partners of the Homeless World Cup since 2005.

    Gatefotball (Street Soccer) is a project started by the Salvation Army. It focuses on drug rehabilitation for men and women through sport.

  • FIFA exists to govern football and to develop the game around the world.

    Since 2016, the organisation has been fast evolving into a body that can more effectively serve the beautiful game game for the benefit of the entire world.

    In August, 2024, FIFA signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Homeless World Cup Foundation.

    As part of the MoU, FIFA and HWCF have agreed to jointly broadcast the event on FIFA+, FIFA's streaming platform, while FIFA will also supply material and equipment, including medals and trophies.

OSLO 2025 SUPPORTERS

  • University College Copenhagen (KP) supports the Homeless World Cup at our annual tournament by providing physiotherapists to support the 500 players taking part in the week long tournament.

    KP started supporting the Homeless World Cup in 2012.

    20,000 students are currently enrolled at KP, and around 2000 staff members are working at KP.

    KP offers 23 academic programmes, e.g. in nursing and other health professions, teacher education, early childhood- and social education, and social work

  • Kickly is an online design tool for sports organisations of any level to create graphic content and unlock the potential of higher engagement, by having access to professionally designed templates.

    Kickly will be supporting with content at the Oslo 2025 Homeless World Cup.

  • FIFPRO, the World’s Football Player’s Union has been a strong supporter of the Homeless World Cup Foundation since 2015.

    In addition to supporting our organisation with funding, FIFPRO also sponsor the FIFPRO Fair Play Awards during each Homeless World Cup Tournament, aimed at recognising players who display the values of Fair Play and embrace the spirit of the tournament.

    FIFPRO member unions are also supporting some of our local street football organisations in Bulgaria, India, Israel, Norway, England, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden and Switzerland.

  • Eurovision Sport will stream all matches taking place on the event’s main pitch globally, which will also feature live match commentary. In addition to live coverage, a wide range of supplementary content including player profiles, social stories, and behind-the-scenes features will be available to EBU Members via the EBU News Exchange, enhancing editorial coverage and audience engagement across Europe.

  • Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) supports the Homeless World Cup at our annual tournament by providing physiotherapists to support the 500 players taking part in the week long tournament.

    OsloMet started supporting the Homeless World Cup in 2012.

    Over 20,000 students currently study at OsloMet.

    For over 200 years, OsloMet and its predecessors have contributed to building knowledge and expertise for the Norwegian welfare society.

  • Woosh are delighted to be supporting the 2025 Homeless World Cup in Oslo, continuing a proud tradition that began nearly two decades ago. This marks the fifth time the company has been involved with the tournament, with their support dating back to Edinburgh 2005, Copenhagen 2007 and Glasgow 2016, where they served as stadium announcers and DJs. In Mexico 2018 Woosh brought their expertise online as commentators.

    For the 2025 event, Woosh are contributing to the daily highlights programme, with Graeme hosting the show from the company’s Edinburgh WEL Podcast Studio.

    With over 30 years of experience, Woosh have been at the heart of sports presentation across a wide range of events. They are best known for their work in football, particularly at Hampden Park, where they support Scotland internationals and the Scottish Cup, and at Tynecastle Park, home of Heart of Midlothian FC where Graeme is the stadium announcer while Keith takes on the role of show-caller and DJ.

    Their impressive client list also includes major international events such as the London 2012 Olympics, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and their work across sports like handball, ultra marathons, adventure sports and netball.
