63 Teams from 48 Homeless World Cup Member Countries taking part in the tournament.
500 players will be in attendance for the 20th edition of the Homeless World Cup.
Homeless World Cup will be held in Oslo for the second time (last held in 2017).
44 Men’s teams and 23 Women’s teams will be in Norway this August.

With One Month to Go until the Oslo 2025 Homeless World Cup, 63 teams from 48 Homeless World Cup Member Countries will be coming to the Norwegian capital to take part in the tournament, which is taking place at Rådhusplassen (City Hall Square) on Saturday 23rd August – Saturday 30th August.
It’s a special tournament for everyone involved across the globe with the Homeless World Cup Foundation, it will be the 20th edition of the tournament and it also sees the return of the event to Europe after 6 years.
500 players from across the globe will compete across 8 days in the world class sporting spectacle and it will be the second time that Oslo has hosted the Homeless World Cup, last held in Norway’s capital city in 2017.
The tournament will see 40 teams compete for the Men’s Homeless World Cup and 23 teams will be aiming for success in the Women’s Homeless World Cup.
Mexico Men’s and Women’s teams are coming to Oslo as current Homeless World Cup Men’s and Women’s Champions after winning both competitions last year in Seoul, they will be looking to defend their titles as the most successful nation in the tournament’s 22-year history.

Austria (2003 – first winners of the Men’s Homeless World Cup), Italy (2004 and 2005), Scotland (2007 and 2011), Brazil (2010, 2013 and 2017), and Chile (2012, 2014 and 2023) have all experienced success in the Men’s Homeless World Cup and will be hoping for history to repeat itself in Oslo this year.
Oslo 2025 will be the 20th edition of the Homeless World Cup. The first tournament was held in Graz, Austria in 2003.
In the Women’s competition, Zambia (2008 – first winners of the Women’s Homeless World Cup), and Kenya (2011) will both be in Oslo, there will 7 African Women teams coming to the tournament, including two-time Africa Women Cup winners, Uganda, fresh from their victory in Nairobi, Kenya last month.
There will be 6 new Homeless World Cup Member Countries coming to the Oslo 2025 Homeless World Cup, teams from Burkina Faso, Canada, Spain, Tanzania, Vietnam and Zambia will be in Norway this August.
The tournament format will be shared ahead of the event and the draw for the tournament (including 1st stage groups and opening fixtures) will be available on Wednesday 20th August, three days before the Oslo 2025 Homeless World Cup kicks off with an Opening Parade, Opening Ceremony and first round of matches on Saturday 23rd August, with the tournament concluding with the exciting Finals Day on Saturday 30th August.

The Homeless World Cup is a world class sporting spectacle which has the power to change the lives of participants and shape attitudes towards the global issue of homelessness, using the universal language of football.
