Metlink aboard in Melbourne

Posted on 25/09/2008

The Department for Transport and Melbourne's public transport network, Metlink, is supporting the Melbourne 2008 Homeless World Cup by supplying travel cards for all players to get to their events on Melbourne’s trains, trams and buses.

Homelessness affects communities all over the world and Melbourne is no exception. As a great sport-loving city, Melbourne understands the power sporting events have in bringing people together.

This tournament raises awareness and inspires those who have experienced homelessness to rebuild their lives and reconnect with the community.

Together with the Department of Transport, Metlink is proud to contribute to the tournament that has proven to be a life-changing opportunity for so many. We wish all players the best of luck.
