Team Canada honoured by Mayor of Vancouver
The Mayor of Vancouver Gregor Robertson declared a 'Vancouver Street Soccer Day' in honour of the players and the staff who represented Canada at the Rio 2010 Homeless World Cup.
In honour of 'Team Canada' and the 'Vancouver Street Soccer Movement' the Mayor of Vancouver Gregor Robertson declared Monday 11th October 'Vancouver Street Soccer Day'.
Speaking at a special Thanksgiving event the mayor praised the Canada players and the individuals who work within the 'Street Soccer Vancouver' organisation for their achievements in Rio and for bringing home the men's 'Fair Play Award'.
