Homeless World Cup Partner in South Africa, SA Homeless Street Soccer (SAHSS) held its Western Cape Provincial street soccer finals in Cape Town on April 14th 2012.

After a 4 month long football programme, they hosted a football tournament with teams made up of former Homeless World Cup players and new people involved with the project.

Clifford Martinus, SAHSS Director, says: "We are looking to expand our football programmes into more provinces and host a National Street Soccer Tournament where we will make the selection for the Mexico City 2012 Homeless World Cup."

South African Homeless Street Soccer  was created in 2006 to create developmental opportunities for youths living on the streets as well as in very difficult circumstances within informal settlements.
