The Nigeria women's team are on the road to Mexico as trials kick off in Lagos

Ex-Flying Eagles star Jide Oguntuase and German-born Helen Schönbrodt will co-head the scouting team for the Nigerian women's team for the Homeless World Cup in Mexico City this year, helped by Fatai Dagama Bisiriyu, Babalola Issah and Sunday Aremu.

Trials will take place in three different centres in Lagos over the next three weeks, from July 18 to August 3, and 10 players from the Lagos trials will then join up with five players from Calabar in Cross River, before the final eight are selected to represent Nigeria in Mexico from October 6-14.
