Fifteen players were called up for Italy's first team training camp in Gatteo Mare as the players got their first chance to meet each other and impress the coaches, Massimo Gusmeroli and Carlo Capriotti, who will pick the final eight to represent Italy at the Homeless World Cup in Mexico City (October 6-14).
The Homeless Italian Cup Project was founded in Milan in 2010 and works with nine associations across Italy to help homeless people through sports.
Twice winners Italy have been drawn in Group F of this year's Homeless World Cup and will face Chile, Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg and Wales.
