The Hong Kong team are nearing the end of their preparations ahead of the Homeless World Cup in Mexico City 2012 (October 6-14).
Coach Po-chun Cheung and assistant coach Ka-yiu Pau of Hong Kong first division side Wofoo TaiPo have been drafted in to coach the Homeless World Cup squad. A group of fifteen players received four months of training before the final eight were chosen to travel to Mexico City.
Hong Kong were drawn in Group E of this year’s Homeless World Cup alongside England, Germany, Russia, France and Bulgaria.
This year, our Hong Kong partner have also published a book called “How a football affects lives” in which 10 authors tell the stories of 10 former players.
