The Formula One World Champion met with players from each of 48 nations competing in this year’s tournament including host nation and two times Homeless World Cup champions Team Italia. 48 players had the chance of a lifetime to meet Hamilton, ask him questions and share their experiences with the World Champions.

Speaking from the event, Vodafone ambassador Lewis Hamilton said: “Meeting the players here today has been a great experience and it’s inspiring to see how the power of sport can change people lives. I hope for a team from my Home nations to win, maybe between us we’ll be able to pull off a double victory this weekend.”

Hamilton went on to kick off the England v Portugal game before heading off to Monza.
