Homeless World Cup National Partner in New Zealand - Street Football Aotearoa (SFA) hosts the 2nd Street Footy National Championship in Lower Hutt on the 31st of March.
Teams from Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Upper Hutt will compete in a day where football will once again play the main role as a catalyst to change homeless and marginalised people's lives.
Along with the Street Football National Championship and a Mental Health game, SFA is providing businesses an opportunity to participate in a Corporate 5-aside Football tournament - aiming to offer the participants a chance to mix and mingle with those less privileged and to have an opportunity to give back to and support those marginalised within their communities.
Street Football Aotearoa run football projects around New Zealand which offer participants the chance to learn to communicate, build relationships, work with others, learn responsibility and develop skills that can be transferred to everyday life.
Currently SFA has football projects in Wellington (2), Auckland, and Christchurch, with new venues starting this year in Napier and Hawkes Bay.
