In the year 2008. we were connected with Slovenia to organise the participation of the Croatian National Team of homeless people in Homeless world cup in Melbourne 2008. We have done all the preparations, but we did not participate in Homeless World Cup 2008. in Melbourne – we had 50 players from 5 croatian cities: Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek, Varaždin, who trained two times a week for 3 hours, and also played some preparation games which where supported by public people and volounteers. In 2009 we did the same thing – we had our trainings, and first game of our Homeless football team in Rijeka against Slovenian team of homeless people. We expected a invitation from Milano, but it didn't came to our adress again. And when we thought that a large nuber of Croatian Homeless people, Croatian Football Association and the Croatian Public, who watched their preparations with great interest will be dissapointed again, the call finally came 3.6. and made us very happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was Croatian debut at Homeless World Cup tournament. 45th place for the first time makes all Croatian squad very happy and proud because a participation at such as important world sport event.

In Split, 29th August 2009., a week before Milan, Croatian national team played in the center of town a tournament. Croatian homelesses won 4th place among 6 teams, also Slovenian homelesses. For Croatian team played: Dario and Antun (goalkeepers), Goran, Andrija, Danijel and Slobodan. Coaches: Dado and Jura
