Are you a Hairy Haggis?

Posted by Corrina McGowan - 01/02/2008

You are invited to be part of a Homeless World Cup Hairy Haggis Relay Team and run in the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 25th May 2008. Run and help raise much needed funds for Melbourne 2008!

Inaugurated in 2004, the Marathon Relay has a capacity of several hundred teams of 4 people who each run approximately 1/4 of the course i.e. 5-8 miles.

The relay is a separate event from the marathon that will run alongside the main race on the marathon route.

Homeless World Cup staff and volunteers will also be participating and supporting you along the way and at the finish line.

The Edinburgh Marathon offers runners a personal challenge with a spectacularly scenic route, which takes them past many of Edinburgh’s and East Lothian’s famous landmarks and tourist attractions. The preparations for 2008 are all-ready well on the way.

The Edinburgh Marathon is more than just a race – it is a festival of fun with on-route entertainment and finish-line celebrations. The race day will also reflect great human spirit thanks to the thousands of runners raising much needed funds for charitable causes.
