Sport is a leveller

One of the things that struck me about the event was how much of a leveler sport can be – with everyone in their kit, there was no distinguishing how rich or poor any individual or country is – they were all just regular kids kicking a ball around. Comment from Charlotte Bray:
At one point I saw a Danish player and a Cameroon player walking down the street between the pitches in their strips – each with an arm round the other. The only time they broke apart was when they passed Hong Kong player and both put their hands together and bowed at him. It was a pretty humbling experience.
