Thomson Financial is supporting India, debuting at this year's Copenhagen 2007 Homeless World Cup, providing finance for them to travel to the tournament. 40 volunteers from Thomson Financial will also join the tournament to help make it a success for 500 players, 48 nations with One Goal.

One of the things that struck me about the event was how much of a leveler sport can be – with everyone in their kit, there was no distinguishing how rich or poor any individual or country is – they were all just regular kids kicking a ball around. Comment from Charlotte Bray:

To be honest, I applied to join the Thomson Financial team at this year’s Homeless World Cup because it was an opportunity to visit Copenhagen, somewhere I’d never been before. Once I got there though, and began to understand more about the Homeless World Cup and what it achieves, being in Copenhagen became secondary to me; I felt honored to be a part of the team and wanted to use my time there doing as much as possible to help.
