Zimbabwe Selection Success

More than 1000 street-soccer lovers thronged the Hatcliffe Shopping Center grounds on April 26 to witness the national street soccer showcase that was still relatively novel to some of the spectators.The event ran from 10 am to 4.30pm and the games ended with one National Team being recognized as the 2008 Team to represent Zimbabwe in the Melbourne 2008 Homeless World Cup 1-7 December 2008.

Special Guests: James Maiden (South Australia Street Soccer) : Peter Maiden (South Australia Street Soccer)
Guests : Tirivashe Nheveyembwa (Sports and Recreation Commission) : Tendai Mukurura (Sports and Recreation Commission) The Special Guests obtained film footage of the National Selection as part of their film documentary on Street Soccer activities being done by the Young Achievement Sports for Development (YASD).
