We are called the South African Homeless Street Soccer (SAHSS) and we have been operating since 2006. We have recently changed our name from Western Cape Street Soccer League (WCSSL) to SAHSS. Our focus lies at creating developmental opportunities for youths living on the streets as well as in very difficult circumstances within informal settlements. Each year we participate in the Homeless World Cup with the view of trying to give opportunities to those less fortunate than ourselves. SAHSS will be partnering a similar organisation called Oasis `Reach For Your Dreams` where we will be able to offer accommodation to the participants before and after the HWC. The emphasis would be placed on where do the youth go after the World Cup and we will be working on an exit plan with them.
