Street Soccer Scotland was founded by David Duke, once homeless himself and now an experienced Community Worker and Football Coach, David saw the need for real positive change amongst some of Scotland's most disadvantaged communities. His role as Manager of the Scottish Homeless World Cup team allowed him to see the positive impact that sport had on people lives.
The organisation aims to use street soccer as a trigger to energize people who are socially excluded, combined with personal development and training to empower them to change their own lives for the better. More specifically, we will provide a range of grassroots street soccer sessions and events at local and national levels, focusing on engaging, coaching and supporting participants as well as establishing social academies in partnerships with relevant agencies.
