After years of conflict Liberia finally held free and fair elections in 2005. Despite the peace, however, there is a huge problem of poverty and social exclusion which the Liberian team aims to raise awareness of and contribute to improving the country. Final Position: Copenhagen 2007 - 3rd; Cape Town 2006 - 5th

Liberia's 'All Star' Homeless World Cup Team

Sports to Develop the Under Privileged (SDU) aims to use sport, especially football, to combat these problems. By organising a Liberian side for the Homeless World Cup the SDU hopes to take a tremendous step forward in realising its aims.
