Team Kenya is organised by the Kenya homeless street soccer association. This street soccer programme began in 2004 and operates in Nairobi and 10 other districts of Kenya involving over 1000 street youth enabling them to confront homelessness, drugs, poverty and prostitution. Expect a consistent skill and a fast pace from the Kenyan's in Melbourne. Final Position: Copenhagen 2007 - 6th; Cape Town 2006 - 9th

REPORT
A street soccer tournament sponsored by UNICEF under the provincial director of sports Nairobi in conjunction with Kenya Homeless Street Soccer Association successfully came to an end in a big style on 14/06/08 in Makongeni sports ground. The tournament was played in four zones which were the slums of Babadogo, Makongeni, Kibera and Huruma, 256 teams participated in the tournament thus attracting around 3000 players from all over Nairobi and the national team was selected.

The players with the Kenyan team all come from the Hurama Cranes Street Soccer Team, a side created to help youths in the slum areas of Mathare and Huruma.
