Knowledge in power for Italy's education programme

The Italian team is organised by ASC Nuova Multietnica, an association created to secure minority rights through education and sport.
And they are fulfilling their mission by including in the team selection process players from Argentina, Brazil, Romania, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Senegal, Egypt, Turkey, Italy and Nigeria.
As double champions of the Homeless World Cup the team has played a lot of games throughout Italy to spread the message of ASC Nuova Multietnica and promote the Homeless World Cup. For the first time in 2006 Italy took a mixed team with one female player, Veronica, making the cut at the selection trials, and they hope more women will be involved with their programme.
