Team Ireland is organised by the Big Issue Street League. They mainly work with the Homeless, drug and alcohol dependant individuals in rehabilitation, ex-offenders, long-term unemployed with identified learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers.






Organisation - Big Issue Street League

The Big issue Street League operates 8 leagues countrywide and 2 in Dublin, while they also run programs in Wheatfiled prison and Mountjoy jail in Dublin. They also hold an all ireland tournament each year from which a panel of players are selected from which the team to represent Ireland in the Homeless World Cup is chosen. Selected players from the leagues are given the opportunity to obtain coaching credentials.
