In 2001 Krida Vikas Sanstha Nagpur set up a street soccer programme to provide sports facilities and competitions to encourage young people who are homeless or living in slums away from drugs. Nearly 10,000 youths have been involved in sports competitions with them since. Team India made their debut in Copenhagen 2007 and are ambitious to see the whole of India playing football for a brighter future. Final Position: Milan 2009 - 39th; Melbourne 2008 - 39th; Copenhagen 2007 - 45th

International Coach, Andy Hooks landed in India this month to strike up some passion and increase the slum football program across the country. The aim of Andy’s visit was to train Indian Slum footballers and to increase the popularity of football in Central India. This was the first time an International Coach had ever visited central India and was extremely well received from the media and the schools and other programs Andy visited.
