The association was founded (out of the national streetsoccer association) in 2007 to support people with special social difficulties and the aim of our program is to implement sports - especially streetsoccer - into the social and welfare work particularly with homeless people. Since 2006 we coordinate a German Homeless Cup / Streetsoccer Championship where different social organizations like Caritas, Diakonie, Paritätische Landesverbände, Salvation Army and Streetpapers take part. Now we got a funding for three years - with the target to establish a nationwide streetsoccer league during that time.
Our program is based on local and regional initiatives of social work. The active institutions will be integrated to the national network to provide an interplay and internal as external communication between local and national initiatives.
