Organisation- Anstoß! e.V. Bundesvereinigung für Soziale Integration durch Sport
The aim of their programme is to use sports - especially street soccer - as an integral part of social and welfare work, particularly with homeless people. Since 2006, they have coordinated a German Homeless Cup / National Streetsoccer Championship where different social organisations such as Caritas, Diakonie, Paritätische Landesverbände, the Salvation Army and Streetpapers take part. Since 2010, they have been establishing a nationwide street-soccer league with about 100 participating teams, by now.
Their programme is based on local and regional social work initiatives. The involved institutions are and will be integrated into a national network to provide internal as well as external communication between the different initiatives.
They want to be contact persons for social organisations who work against social exclusion and to network and support sportive activities in social / welfare work with homeless and social excluded persons in general by organizing and networking sport-activities in social work, nationwide.
The active institutions are integrated to the national network to provide an interplay and internal as external communication between local and national initiatives. In addition they are working with a department of the universities in Kiel and Hamburg/Northern-Germany to evaluate and develop their program.
Via qualitative exploration, evaluation studies as fundamental research of their work are developing a concluding guideline. Internal communication will be provided by scientific publications, public relations and finally with a guideline for social workers: How to use streetsoccer as a means of social work.
