Canada expands into Vancouver

A national tournament will be held in Calgary with teams already committed from 4 cities to tryout for the Melbourne 2008 Homeless World Cup. Vancouver is now on board as well this year and over 250 players have already passed through the street soccer programs in Montreal, Toronto and Calgary.
Street Soccer Canada’s Vision is one of hope and celebration. They endeavor to: - celebrate the talents and strengths of the individuals with whom we work - approach each individual and team with understanding and patience - use sport as social inclusion to empower and embrace - expand and grow our grassroots street soccer programs for all those who wish to be involved - incorporate our players into their local organizational structures - continue to use sport to address the need for systemic welfare reform
