Organisation - Sports Management Bulgaria

Sports Management Bulgaria has been the official national partner of the Homeless World Cup in Bulgaria since August, 2011.

More than 70 males and females with an average age of 22 have joined the project and they train twice a week under the guidance of four volunteer coaches. The participants come from the three biggest Bulgarian cities – Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.

From October 2011 till May 2012, the players took part in 10 tournaments in Sofia, to select the players for this year's  Homeless World Cup in Mexico City. The final selection was made by Dimitar Penev – the ambassador of the project and the most successful Bulgarian coach, who led Bulgaria to fourth place at the World Cup in the USA in 1994.

The nickname of the Bulgarian team is "Team of Hope."
