1st Social Football Qualifying selects Brazilian national team in an event that counted with the special participation of Argentina
OCAS launched during tournament that occurred from 22-24 August its new project "Futebol Social", that aims to gather dozens of organizations and thousands of people in a situation of social risk from all over the country. Around 100 players from 8 recognized social entities participated of the 1st Social Football Qualifying. After that 12 young were pre-selected for the next round activities that will result in the final selection of the 8 players that will represent Brazil in Australia. The event counted with the special participation of Argentina, represented by the street-paper Hecho en Buenos Aires, as part of their preparation for the Homeless World Cup 2008. Additionally, OCAS officially announced that Corinthians, one of the main Brazilian football clubs, will support the street soccer national team in the preparation for Melbourne. Good news!!!
