Hecho Club Social win the Homeless Shelters Cup

The local government of Buenos Aires organized the 2º Hostels & Homeless Shelters Cup. The Hecho team received a special wild card by the international experience in the HWC. After a confusing start in the first match, Hecho scored twice and got a brave 2-2 tie. They followed two broad victories by 12-0 and 10-0. In semi & final the equipment showed his personality and good preparation and won 3-0 and 2-0 respectively. Enrique, Fernando, Juan y Pablo were the new figures. This tournament proved to be the first round of powers to determine the players selected for Melbourne 2008

Argentina starts the new season with a last minute win!

Thinking of the Melbourne 2008 Homeless World Cup, the pre-selection team started the new season playing a friendly match against BALIK, a youth community team.

Former Homeless World Cup stars and newcomers took part in this match. After the team were down 0-2 in the first half with a confused perfomance, the team organised by HECHO CLUB SOCIAL, scored early in the second half by Gustavo. Soren levelled the score with a beautiful free kick. Suddenly the match was controlled by the Homeless World Cup team showing a good physcal preparation. In the last minute, Gustavo showed his ability and experiencie again and scored a final goal for 3-2 win.

The match finished with Homeless World Cup players very happy with their performance.

Argentina plays in Embassies Cup

Two teams from the Hecho Club Social represented Argentina in a local football tournament reserved for expats living in Argentina. The local embassies of different countries organized their teams for the event on December 15th. Spain beat Angola in the final. Argentina took sixth place. There was a mixed team of Homeless World Cup old stars and new. Former player Gustavo announced he is embarking on a new activity as an entrepreneur.

Lemvig support Denmark & Argentina

A great experience for the Argentinean HWC team. LFG-Lemvig wins 5-1 but everybody enjoyed the match. The players of the local team showed the experience of playing on grass and the HWC stars received the best wishes from the crowd. Argentina was formed by Nick, Ariel, Carlos, Rolando, Soren, Sergio & José. Ariel made the goal of the honour. The hole team say THANK YOU LEMVIG and promise to return and show the cup if they win at HWC.

The Argentinean team is coming closer to the dream about the Homeless World Cup in Denmark. The danish coach, Soren Moberg, has recieved a special invitation for the Argentinean team to visit Lemvig from the 25th to 27th of July - just before the Homeless World cup starts. Lemvig is a smaller town - 4 hours from Copenhagen by train - where coach Soren Moberg had his childhood. The Argentinean Homeless National Team will play a show-match vs. members from the local football club, LGF. LGF together with Lemvig Kommune and some local sponsors, are organising the visit. The show-match will take place in the opening ceremony of a bigger youth football competetion, LimfjordsCup, that take place every summer in Lemvig.

Inter Sport & Hummel

Thanks to Inter Sport, Denmark and Inter Sport, Lemvig for donating 3.000 us dollars for our trip to the Homeless World Cup en Copenhagen 2007. It has been an important step to go further on with our plans about the Argentinean homeless soccer project and the World Cup dreams. Inter Sport has also organised with Hummel that they donate a sports set and the Argentinean World Cup t-shirts and shorts that we will be using in Copenhagen. Thanks Hummel.
