Argentina

Team Argentina is organised by Hecho Club Social (HCS), which continues the social sports project started by streetpaper Hecho in Buenos Aires.

Organisation - Hecho Club Social

HCS offer to excluded people (homeless, drugs & alcohol addicts, migrants, refugees, former prisoners, people living in poor conditions) three times a week the possibility to practice sports and be part of a group where respect to diversity is mayor law. A social staff (psychologists, social workers, sociologists) provide their services to help them find a better way to be reinserted into society. Besides, workshops in health prevention, new jobs, education, housing and citizenship complete the social support.

HCS also created the Streetsoccer Urban League for the Social Inclusion that organizes a monthly tournament from March to December with participation of 30 NGO´s and public offices who worked with vulnerable and homeless people.  After a minimun of one year of hard work with players and their own organizations, HCS selects the National Team that will represent Argentina at the Homeless World Cup annual tournament. They work with males and females, children, yongsters and adults to give them a chance to find their new way of life.

Their goals are: 1. Increase people's self eestem; 2. Generate a sense of belonging  3. Strengthen ties; 4. Recover positive outlook of life.
