The Welsh Dragons have received some fantastic support this year and we would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our main team sponsors - Trothwy Cyf & The Welsh Assembly Government
Trothwy Cyf - an experienced and specialist provider of person centred support and care services in Wales. Our mission is to support and care for people, where they live and in their community, to enable them to be more independent, empowered and included.
Our work is guided by our core values which focus on the person and their needs and preferences. We aim to uphold the rights and responsibilities for all the people we support and to work in a way which encourages involvement, openness and accessibility. Our values ensure that our work promotes diversity and that social justice underpins all that we do.
Trothwy supports over 1,300 people at any one time across thirteen of the local authority areas in South and Mid-Wales. Our clients include young people, families, people with physical and learning disabilities, people with mental health issues, people who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness, people who are experiencing substance misuse issues and ex-offenders.
Our clients experience a broad and complex range of barriers that contribute significantly to their social exclusion and isolation and we take a holistic approach to overcoming these barriers. By engaging positively with clients and encouraging them to identify their aspirations, we are able to work in partnership with clients and partner agencies to achieve real and sustainable solutions.
Essentially we seek to make problems smaller by making lives bigger.
