Wales v Ireland
Wales (3) v Ireland (5)
The Celtic teams saw eye to eye in the competition to bag the Hus Forbi Trophy , one of the prizes up for grabs at the Homeless World Cup 2007. Hus Forbi is a magazine sold by the homeless in Denmark.
Ireland took charge from the start scoring twice before three minutes if the game were over. The Irish players acted more like a team than their Celtic counterparts taking every opportunity to gain ball control and breaking Wales' defense. Wales looked tired and was much less physical than Ireland.
In spite of the Irish pressure, however, Wales scored in the fifth minute but Ireland scored again a few seconds later, increasing its lead.
Ireland's supremacy was challenged in the second half, when Wales displayed determination to get back to the game. Its counterattack paid as Wales scored between the second and third minute but Ireland was having none of it and scored again thirty seconds later.
It was just as the clock stroke the third minute of the second half that Wales managed another goal,. But true to the pattern that dominated this match, Ireland scored fifty second later. This was Wales' last serious attempt to get back into a game and other attempts in the remainder of the match looked unconvincing.
