Ukraine now have two wins under their belt after they accounted for Argentina in their third round match at the 2008 Homeless World Cup with a decisive 9-3 win.

Andriy Nikitin continued his great tournament form by putting away the opening goal for Ukraine in the third minute of the match.

Argentina were able to level the scores two minutes later, when Sergio Masloski was able to shrug off his defender and have an open shot at the back post.

Ukraine’s Andriy Nikitin and Igor Flissak then added two more quick goals to the scoreboard.

Argentina applied the pressure as Masloski kicked his second goal of the match to pull within two shots of the Ukrainians.

The Argentinans were able to sneak a goal with the last kick of the half to take a two goal lead into the interval.

The second half was dominated by the Ukrainians, putting a further five goals past the South Americans.

The standout goal of the match came off the boot of Ukraine’s Igor Flissak, with a kick from near the corner which curled past the outstretched hands of the Argentinian keeper.

A consolation goal was kicked by the Argentinian, Renato Iriarte in the final minute of the match to complete the scoring.
