In the Women's competition, Uganda defeated Cameroon, 6 – 1, in a commanding performance on Yarra Pitch.
Uganda put on a complete team performance, sharing the ball around to outclass Cameroon.
After an attempted scissor-kick at goal, Uganda's Nanyondo opened the scoring with a straight powerful strike from the top of the goal circle.
Teammate Angel Taka, who was named yesterdays Nike's 'Player of the Day', followed suit, pouncing with a missed strike which deflected to roll through the Cameroon goalie's legs.
Uganda passed the ball smoothly down the field, working together to displace the goalie resulting in goals to Nakasato and Taka.
Cameroon scored through a beautiful straight strike by Moera to go to half time 3 goals down.
Despite Cameroon's Wambo's persistent tackling and driving, Uganda put through 2 more goals in the second half, with Nakasoto's mid field turn and strike a highlight of the match.
Cameroon held most possessions in the second half, but were unable to capitalise on their positive attacking form, with Uganda's last line of defence, Nanyonga, preventing a revival.
Overall, Uganda's polished team performance allowed them to dominate over a determined Cameroon side.
