Sweden v Australia
Sweden (1) v Australia (3)
The whistle blows and the ball rolls to the feet of an Australian player, and a second later, the first strike of the game is made. Only a fantastic save from the Swedish keeper prevents a goal within the first two seconds of the game. In this match up for 4th and 3rd place in the INSP Trophy, the players of both teams were more than eager to move the ball and attack, while both having troubles with the last bit of precision needed to score. Australia had some very good plays in the first few minutes of the game, passing the ball quickly from player to player and striking first timers at the goal. One of them got inside the box, and the keeper could not get a hold of it. Sweden in the other end tried their best, but rarely got the chance to shoot on goal, since the Australians did a good job snatching the ball, Only one goal for Sweden in the first half, and three for Australia.
Getting off in the second half, both teams had tons of energy to boost off. The first few minutes were a hectic experience, as the ball went fast from one end to the other. The second half was none the less goalless, since both teams were too eager to score to keep calm in the finishing moment. Once the Swedes were half an inch from a score, but the referee called it out. In the other end, Australia got a free kick in the very last seconds of the game. A powerful strike directly in the far corner netted the ball, but it was canceled, since the free kick was indirect.
