Spain v Wales
Spain (4) v Wales (6)
Before this match could start, we saw a presentation of the 6 teams finishing 8th to 3rd in the OMBOLD group. All players were awarded medals and the smiles were big in the wonderful Sunday sunshine. The energy on pitch 2 couldn't have a better boost before moving on to the next group.
The winner of this one can be proud of ending 7th in struggle for the Hus Forbi Trophy. Spain lost 6-18 vs, England Saturday, but they started out with same line-up, including the almost toothless striker Isabel(ita) who did a good effort.
Good goalkeeping and inefficient strikers produced an almost goalless first half. Within the last 5 seconds 2 goals did bring the scoreboard to 1-1.
Wales was given a penalty kick from the beginning of 2nd, and player no. 6 put it in after performing a 5-meter demonstration of parts of the Monthy Python's Ministry of Silly Walks sketch...
Spain came back, and up with 1, before Wales closed the game with 4 consecutive goals.
Spain 4, Wales 6.
