Apparently the Burundi team haven't materialised yet and an ad hoc team of I believe Danes have taken their place. At least they are wearing what looks like the Danish 3rd team kit with paw prints up the arms...nice touch.Burundi open up a quick 3 goal lead and it's looking good but when the no. 5 is sin binned they are a man short for 2 mins and the Slovaks hit back. Not once, not twice but 5 times!
It seems like a tight game at this point but Slovakia start to stretch their lead, their confidence growing. Burundi seem to have forgotten that they need to defend and are split open a few times by some route one football from Slovakia. One of their goals is straight from the keeper to the centre forward who turns and slams it into the net with gusto.
Slovakia lose a player towards the end , nothing malicious i feel just a victim of the slippery conditions underfoot. It' too late to matter now though and Slovakia complete a comprehensive 12-4 victory. However they are awarded only a 3-0 official result which seems scant reward for a fine display.
That's the last game for today...how will things pan out tomorrow?
