SIERRA LEONE lost to Rwanda 14-2 after a highly competitive match which saw both sides taking some calculated risks.
There were few mistakes by both sides in the first half as players locked into one-on-one battles.
The Rwandan goalkeeper Michael Ndaysenga was composed and focused when he clashed with Ahmed Barrie Ahmed in a penalty.
Ahmed tried to put Ndaysenga off and prolong his penalty kick - but failed to deliver.
Sierra Leone then netted the ball after a terrific switch to the left.
But Rwanda quickly replied - taking the lead for the rest of the match.
It was 4-2 at half time in the City Cup competition at the Melbourne Pitch.
IN the second half, Rwanda extended their lead with star player 'DJ' scoring three more goals.
Soon it became evident on the pitch the real competition was who could score the most between the Rwandan players.
Rwanda's Hussein Ntakirutimana outdid DJ's efforts -scoring 5 in the second half.
Sierra Leone resigned to defeat and began to half-commit themselves to tackles.
Sierra Leone's substitution was too slow - causing an opening down the left wing for another goal for Rwanda.
