Scotland v Czech Rep
Scotland (10) v (4) Czech Rep
Scotish DominationThe Scots came on field led by their captain, number 7. He came on field with a firm look in his eyes, wearing his armband for pride and demonstration of power. 20 seconds into the game, he showed us where that power lies - in his right leg. From behind the half way line, shooting a rocket toward the far corner, leaving no chance to the keeper.
During the first half, both teams showed good skills. The Scots being the brute force with powerful strikes from individual performances, the Czechs being more conservative and well balanced, passing the ball until the right opportunity arose.
By the halftime whistle, Scotland was ahead with just a single goal at 5-4.
Second half was a different story. The Czechs could not compete with the Scotish dominance. The Scotish number 2 really showed us what skill and enthusiasm can do if combined, scoring six out of their ten goals. The Czechs had very few attepts at goal, and these were kept out by a safe hand in the Scotish goal. The Scots could leave the field with a 10-4 victory, satisfying the eagerly cheering crowd, who already from kickoff were backing up the Scots.
