Having showed Copenhagen what they can do in yesterdays opening game, Nigeria were surely the favourites going into their game against Switzerland. In the first half they were playing like a team with a point to prove, playing organized, patient football and utilizing through palls to penetrate the Swiss defence. The first half saw a hat-trick from the Nigerian number 10 and 4 goals from their number 11. At the end of the first half Switzerland had hardly hard a single shot on goal, however the scoreline could have been worse if it were not for some excellent saves by the Swiss keeper. 8-0 to Nigeria at half time.
Nigeria's dominance got stronger during the second half, showing excellent team play combined with great skill and passing. Never satisfied with the current scoreline, Nigeria showed no mercy and finished the game as 18-0 winners, with 2 more goals from the number 10 and a memorable hat-trick by number 8. A well competed match conducted in excellent fair play.
