This game between Africa's heavyweights promised goals galore from two sides not afraid to test goalkeepers. Early exchanges saw the 'keepers winning that battle and after plenty of end-to-end activity they went in half time at two apiece.
Goalkeeping heroics nothwithstanding, the goal rate picked up in the second half with Nigeria cancelling out Cameroon's advantage three times before they finally took the lead and held it until the final whistle.
