Namibia (1) v (2) Rwanda

Federation Square held a fast and furious clash between two of the African sides in the Homeless World Cup, Namibia and Rwanda.

The players from both teams displayed terrific determination and ball skills in an extremely tight game that left the crowd on the edge of the seats but ended in Rwanda walking away with a 2-1 victory.

The opening moments of the game saw strong attacks from Namibia which forced the Rwandan goalkeeper to warm up quickly and make a few terrific dives to stop Namibia from scoring.

Despite the Rwandan goalkeeper’s best efforts, the Namibian striker scored a superb first goal for the match in the corner of the net.

The first half saw a lot of activity with the ball flying from keeper to keeper and the players working the ball well down the middle of the pitch.

The tight contest forced both teams to move quickly from attack to defence as the ball flew from one end of the pitch to the other. Particularly impressive goal keeping skills from the Namibian side was closely defeated by the strong attack put forward by Rwanda.

Namibian's Henoch Links made numerous attempts to find the net and score the equalizer but the Rwandan goal keeper was diving and ducking making an open shot at goals impossible.

The crowd was enthralled by the action of this skilful game and unfortunately after their initial goal early on, Namibia just couldn't get past Rwanda’s defence.
