Mexico (11) v (5) Canada
Mexico (11) v (5) Canada

There were no surprises as last-placed Canada went down to Mexico 11-5, showing why the team from Central America are still in contention for the World Cup.
Canada started with an unconventional team putting an Aussie in goals and a girl in the middle – who proved she could well and truly match it with the blokes.
The Mexicans were all smiles early and clearly enjoying themselves, even after Pagonis scored first for the Canadians.
A crisp strike from Torres evened up the game for the Mexicans, before quick scoring suddenly had them 4-1 up. Classy play and hard running had goals coming from all angles and all players, giving them a 7-2 buffer at half-time.
In the true spirit of the match a Mexican wave broke out during the break, keeping the crowd entertained and pumping up the Canadians who came out hungry in the final half.
Their energy and efforts lifted, although Mexico was too skilled and used their ball control and patience to their advantage. Sayeh kept the score ticking over for Canada, but Mexico never looked like losing.
