Mexico v Burundi

Mexico (5) v (8) Burundi

In this tense game between two evenly matched teams Mexico and Burundi battled it out for victory. Burundi scored first and were 3-1 up after 4 and a half minutes. Mexico brought some superb passing to the field to make a spirited comeback and go ahead 5-4 going into half time. Burundi tried in vein to bring the score level again, despite several venomous shots that have typified their style so far in the Homeless World Cup.

The break seemed to focus Burundi, and they steamed out of the blocks to make it 4-4 within the first minute of play. Mexico has two free kicks but wasted the opportunities that they went on to regret, as the Burundi keeper made several super human saves to keep them in the game. Excellent Mexico passing couldn't stop Burundi from firing more goals in, and they finished the game as 8-5 winners.
