Lithuania came out fighting today, winning their second match of the competition against the strong side from Malawi.
The game was furious for the Lithuanians and while Malawi kept their cool, they were defeated 5-3.
It did not take long for Lithuani’s forward to score their opening goal, and Malawi responded just as quickly with Sylus Otis Liwindo kicking Malawi’s first goal.
The first half of the match was gripping stuff, with both sides equally skilled in attacking and defending. Lithuania’s star forward dominated the field early, but the Malawi goalkeeper handled the pressure well.
Malawi’s forward showed the crowd this is not only a man’s game, controlling the ball well.
Lithuania began attacking strongly, securing their second goal and slamming in their third right on half time, leaving Lithuania up 3-1.
The second half saw Malawi focusing on defence, but Lithuania was too powerful and put through another goal. Malawi fought hard to stay in the game, managing to add another goal to the scoreboard.
However the aggressive Lithuanian team proved to be too strong, quickly extending their lead with another goal.
Both teams refused to give up right until the end of the game, but it was too late for Malawi to bring the game into their control, and Lithuania came away with a satisfying 5-3 victory under their belt.
