The average age in this game was probably a bit higher than in most; gray hair starting to show among several Lithuanian players. Wheres the players maybe lacked a bit in acceleration and power, they had plenty of patience and organization. Kazakhstan put on a good pressure from the beginning and halfway through the first half it could look like a walk over. The scoreboard read 1-3 in favor of the Kazakhstanis. But just as it has turned out in so many other games here, you can never be sure of a victory. Lithuania got hold of their passing game and came back. By half time they were up with 4-3! So far a very clean and lively game, going forth and back.
A couple of well performed high-angle goals by Kazakhstan gave them another lead in the second half, and this time they kept it all the way. A well-played game ended with a victory for Kazakhstan, 7 to 6
