Lithuania v Brazil
Lithuania (12) v Brazil (3)
East-European ControlWith 15 goals within just 14 minutes, one could think that it was an interesting, maybe even exciting game. This match will however stand as the most boring game of the day so far. The Lithuanians took control of the show very early on, and kept a hold of it throughout the whole game, and the Brazilians stood no chance of wining this matchup.
While the Brazilian goalkeeper did a good job in the starting minutes of the first half, the pressure of the Lithuanian attacks was just too much.
At halftime, the Lithuanians had a massive advantage with 7-0, and they were not going to loosen their grasp in the second half. The Brazilians never gave up, however, they kept playing eagerly to gain some control.
The players on the Lithuanian team were quite a bit older than the Brazilians, and it was clear to see in their play styles. The Lithuanians were patient, keeping possession and never wasting their energy, while the Brazilians had the enthusiasm and will to fight, but not the sharpness to score goals.
