By Tiffany PilcherZAMBIA has triumphed over Kyrgyzstan today in the women's competition with a tight 5-4 win.
Zambia controlled the game from the beginning, with Edinasha Mambwe kicking two goals within the opening minutes of the game. She had another two attempts at goal soon after, but Kyrgyzstan's goalie was too fast, blocking shot after shot with ease.
Kyrgyzstan failed to find the net in the first half, and entered half-time down 3-0.
Kyrgyzstan striker Shakhnoza Salikhozhaeva quickly scored two goals to get her side back in the match.
Mambwe continued to shine in the second half, although the whole Zambian team worked well together.
Kyrgyzstan kept up the pace and challenged Zambia with excellent ball passing and several great shots at goal, but could not overcome them.
The win sees Zambia move into third place in the Women's table.
