The sun came out as the referee started the game with a loud and firm whistle. As the players had to play under very slippery conditions, it became a match on which team were the best to stand up on the wet ground. Kenya scored the first goal after one minute play. Both teams were extremely fast and the game were at times rough. The two teams followed each other the first four minutes and hereafter Kenya took control of the game. Especially Kenya's player number 10 showed excellent technically skills and scored five out of Kenya's eight goals.
At half time Kenya led the game 7-3.
Though Kenya controlled the game they missed a lot of chances, as Zambia's keeper did a great job preventing the ball getting into the net.
In second half both teams made many technical mistakes, which led to both teams only scored one goal each.
