Kenya (10) v (1) Norway

KENYA overcame Norway 10-1 in this Section 2 Group D match.

Kenya's display was an exhibition of the slick pass and move football that has seen them progress to well in the 2008 Homeless World Cup so far.

With excellent movement, lightning pace and the ability to change the angle of attack at will, Kenya were too strong for their Scandinavian opponents.

Often arriving at the last moment to finish off a move, the Kenyan players displayed an uncanny understanding of each others' movements that can only have been developed through endless hours on the training field. John Njoroge stood out with his quick feet, soft first touch and cool finishing.

Norway struggled to match the pace of their more youthful opponents, with attack after attack being mopped up by the light footed Kenyan players.

After a bright and breezy first half in front of a relaxed crowd, Kenya romped to a 6-0 lead at half time.

In response, Norway brought on striker Oddvar Andersen to increase their goal threat. The industrious forward did just that, and his clipped drive broke Norway's duck in the ninth minute.

While Norway acquitted themselves well, there was no doubting this game was all about the Kenyan's attractive brand of football. Playing with their heads up, the Kenyans were always aware of where their next pass would go, often delaying a shot until the goal was at their mercy.

In the end they completed a fine win 10-1.
